Sweet Shiraz...Oh yes!

Sounds unlikely but is a totally delicious wine for dessert...

Piggs Peake Suckling Pig Shiraz.

And a photo from another blogger so you know what to look for...

Two Aussie Whiskeys

Sounds weird but Australian Whiskies are excellent and in such high demand that they are hard to buy in Australia -they are being snapped up for export as fast as they can be made.

My two favourites:

Farnese Edizione - buy it

Fruit, vanilla, delicious....just buy it. Now!

You can get it here fairly cheaply...Jim's

Rum - Pussers is the one

For a really tasty rum with a spectacular nose which reminds me of Christmas every time, try Pussers.

Here it is at Dan Murphy's...

The Little Wine Company Gewurz

Yes, a nice fruity summery wine that's not as sweet as a Gerwuz Traminer normally is. Not that dry either. Keen to buy this at the cellar at the Small Wine Maker's centre in the Hunter Valley. Although have spotted it online cheaply.

Holm Oak Pinot

Tried this at Wine Oddessey on Friday - lovely flavoursome Pinot from Tasmania - not strong, quite textural. I think it's at Dan Murphy's for about $31/bottle.

So here goes...

I keep trying and buying wines and then I forget all about them - hopeless. It's not age, it's just my shit-house memory playing me up.

So, blog it and I'll be able to get back to it from time to time when my cellar runs low - like right now!!

Want to help me with your suggestions? Please do.

Also, let's not limit it to wine: Cognac, Brandy, Rum, Whisky, Scotch or Beer are all welcome.
